Apathy and bad government has nothing to do with your country of origin. Its the same in the US and other western style countries as it is here. All that can be changed or affected is to try and live your life according to your beliefs, and attempt to affect change through the people you are in contact with day to day. That is something that can be done, but to sit and complain accomplishes nothing.

Patriotism is about people and the place we call home not about style of government. To say nothing in the face of lunacy, is not patriotic. To agree for the sake of agreement, is the ultimate betrayal.
