Thank you very much for your comment, Felix! For approximately forty years I have been fascinated by the nonsensical verses of Carroll Lewis, the way they surface in his books Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking - Glass. A brilliant example of inventing new words in this genre is the poem JABBERWOCKY, from which I quote the opening and closing verse: "T'was brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe all mimsy were the horogoves and the mome raths outgrabe." In "Through The Looking-Glass" one of the characters reveal the meaning of the cryptical words to Alice. I have no intention of doing that. My aim is merely to play with and explore the philological and vocal qualities of words that merely LOOK LIKE or SOUND english, saxon or gaelic. The scottish variety of english has some very interesting words that are most specific to certain areas. These serve as inspiration. I do think that it's a nice way to develop skills and musicality in the language to write in this manner and I sincerely hope that the readers on this site are interested in taking some of these efforts in as I have at least one more in store!
