La Manic est un des premier grand barrage hydro-électrique à avoir été érigé au Québec. Celui-ci se situe sur la rivière Manicouagan au nord de Baie-Comeau. Il a été baptisé "Le Barrage Daniel-Johnson" en 1967 en hommage au premier ministre décédé sur le site du barrage la nuit suivant l'inauguration.
