I watched the X factor last night and the winner was offered a million pounds recording contract, with the first single - Hallelujah.
Great song!

...the sinister undertakings of man, there is this original
"Hallelujah," as an echo through the muddled times ever after.
Still the "Hallelujah" keeps coming -

"she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah"

...and lines like these contribute greatly to my fascination for this song. It's a question of light and
shade. If there was light only, this hymn would have lost a lot of it's thrill.
Thanks for placing one of my favorite songs in the spotlight, Dan!

Cheers from Willy

 =  hallelujah indeed...
