Well, what can I say, is not the whole world corrupt? German peace talks and money from selling guns to African tribes goes to charity... the US does the same, double standards everywhere. Thanks for your comment. Way back when we were hunters and gatherers we were fully capable of hating and destroying each other. Also so called "primitive" ethnic groups do kill each other to gain control over territory for agriculture and hunting. Shamans or warlords might try to convince their fellom tribespeople that they are going to war for a "nobler" cause, though. Due to the production rate of modern weapon industry, the "developed" countries are able to export weapons all over the globe. And at this point the power elite needs the favors of the politicians. They are hired to tell the citizens that peace and not profits from t the weapon industry is the ultimate goal. Cheers from Willy

A society requires a state or an administration. The exact shape of this organization needs to be discussed, though. I fail to see the profit of denouncing all politicians as "filth." i think dan is talking in the context of your poem, Willy, about politicians still pushing for war there is another thing: it used to be that you needed to win a war in order to pluck the losers and grab the spoils. these days, politicians learned that you don't need to actually win a war to make truckloads of money (for you and your friends). you only need to start it. this will let you spend astronomical amounts of money in a very short time, with little or no accountability or supervision. a lot of (the right) people will get very rich, very fast, and few citizens will ever protest (or even realize what's going on) particularly if you use the right public campaign agencies and push the right patriotic buttons
