= Corrections for the front page article and suggestion | kurt cnejevici [18.Feb.04 01:41] |
The theme discussed here is suited for the front page and the article is written in a very emotional and heartfelt manner. At the same time unfortunately, it is packed with mistakes (grammar, spelling etc.) which I think should not make their way in something posted on the homepage and with high visibility. To minimize this possibility, I would suggest that any front page article be checked by at least two editors before it is posted. At a first pass, here is a list of corrections that need to be made: First line: “sounds like that” not “can sounds like that” Line 3: it is “whose” not “who’s” Line 7 “becomes a writer” not “become a writer” Line 11: “how she gets to use” not “how she get to use” Line 17: it is “at the same time” not “in the same time” Line 23: should be: “they don’t seem as smart” instead of “they seems not that smart” which is incorrect Same line: should be: “you thought they were supposed to be” instead of “you thought they suppose to be” Line 24: can “understand” instead of “get” Line 25: “as they always did” instead of “they’ve always did” Line 26: it’s “losing” not “loosing” Line 30: “what her mother was saying” instead of “what her mother says” Line 37: it should be “belief” not “believe” Line 41: “happens” instead of “happen” Line 45: “her mother’s heritage for its real potential” instead of “her mother heritage for it’s real potential” Line 47: it should be “intent” not “intend” Line 48: “she became” instead of “she become” Line 53: “at some point in his life” instead of “he’s life”

I corrected the "pack" of mistakes. Hope nobody died because of it! :) Thanks for stopping by; we needed an English teacher around.

You’re welcome. I don’t think you need an “English teacher” around. A dictionary should do.
