What is a collection?
An Agonia collection will be composed of a number of works with a common denominator, belonging to one (or in the future even to more authors) from the users who have a confirmed account on this site. How will the individual collections of an author operate? Basically, almost any text entered on the site may be associated with a collection which the respective author has created in advance and that it belongs to him, so that each member of the site will be able to organize texts by various criteria: - Grouped around a concept or an idea: for example a volume of poems (virtually being published or already published on paper) - Grouped around the style: "collection of humorous epigrams," collection of articles on environmental issues " - Grouped around various identities assumed by a member: "the collection of the poet Alexander Helen", the collection of the poetess Elena Alexander" - And so on. The collections will appear in the page lists of each author. A statement such as "from the certain collection” may appear on the lists of texts. How many work-author collections? These collections could be: - Collections opened to every subject and a coordinator to survey them, where anyone can enter texts in which the coordinator may have intended to accept / reject / order materials included. - Thematic collections: " Virtual Volume opened with autumn poetry"," The volume: Our Mother ", etc. - Collections on styles: "Collection of riddles", "Collection of SF short prose, etc. - Periodic collection of Virtual magazine, with a given structure, to whom many authors can collaborate online with. What implications will collections have and how will they manifest? I'm looking forward to your contributing with ideas about the applicability of this new facility. Collections will have a dedicated page on the site, which will be presented according to various criteria of an existing collection. Collections materialized as projects with continuity can proceed to various finalizations of the online project: literary circles, magazine, volume anthology, etc.. Other details / features / problems / about collections: - The possibility of ordering texts within a collection - The number of collections that a member can create will be limited and will depend on the number of posted texts from his profile (i.e. can create 1 collection for every 50 texts). - There is certainly a minimum level of access that is a must have to create collections. a higher level may mean the ability of creating a number of additional collections, regardless of the number of texts included - A text may not necessarily be part of a collection - Each collection can have an associated image (cover) and eventually, any additional pictures (interior) - Which will be the criteria for the selection of collections displayed and promoted on the main page? - How will the page be structured by the author after enabling this feature? I'm looking forward to your opinions and improvements that you see possible in the stream of ideas stated above. This approach is advisory and the final decision will embrace the best ideas, so contradictory discussions are completely useless and unproductive. Therefore, please set out any idea or opinion guided by a positive attitude. Instead of "I do not think it's recommended to ..." try a positive way of expressing yourselves " it would be probably better to..." We are waiting for your opinions! Radu Herinean
