Alaturi sta, incremenita, muta, Sarmana lui, nemangaiata mama; Ea lung ridica coltul de marama Si tremurand pe mana il saruta. Intr-un pahar se scutura o floare, O floare prinsa la o cununie Ce ca si dansul s-a plecat si moare. Iar prin perdele, raza aurie Aduce caldul zambet de la soare: O mangaiere scumpa, dar tarzie.
