Un om bețiv odată se ispoveduia,
Iară duhovnicul așa îl sfătuia:
Aproapele tău să-l iubești,
Și pe vrăjmaș să nu urăști!
De vin cu totul să te lași
Că-ți este cel mai rău și ne-mpăcat pizmaș.
O contrazicere ce nu-i de înțeles,
Răspunse bețivașul:
Mai înainte, cum? iar singur îmi ziceși
Să nu-mi urăsc vrăjmașul
Și iată prin urmare,
Că la aceasta eu nu-ți pot da ascultare.
