When the final word
has been written
into the one book,
a black mouth will swallow
all life’s illusion
and a gentle hand
lights a star,
leading the way
into the known unknown…
Fading like autumn mist
in the morning sun
the misery you leave behind
ties between hearts
overstretch and break,
eventually…
now you are alone,
you are free!
Free to be the image
and the mirror,
the seagull’s call,
the effect and the cause
or the reason for it all…
