A dispute arose between paper and pen,
about who was to be the better servant
“I am!” claimed the pen,
“I write the words straight from the master’s hand!”
“No, me!” the paper cried,
“where would the master write,
if not on me, his mirror, clear and white!”
“No!” replied the pen angrily,
I create his work, you merely receive!”
”I am neutral,” smiled the table from below,
I do not care, yet hold you both.”
