Și prin văzduhul plin de elegie, Cum un suspin-lavină, spre apus, Coboară cea din urmă herghelie, Cu ea pierind copiii ce eram Cînd galopam prin ierbile candorii, Neștiutori că nu-i nici un balsam La veșnica rotire a ninsorii. Ci, dragi prieteni, tăinuit vă spun, Stăpînul-Timp să nici nu prindă veste: Din hrerghelie, calul cel mai bun E viu - sculptat în ultima poveste.
