The night’s moon shimmered on her face
his love, his light, his heart’s one place
To know her touch was heaven’s gate
a soulmate’s kiss, so worth the wait
Each breath he took was for his “Joan”
her heart beat for him alone
How long in time had their wait been?
Matter not - nevermore to wait again!
Of lovers told, their story unrivaled
across time older than the sun
a tale of lovers truly bound
“soulmates” now joined as one
