He sits alone, words unspoken,
as the tears run down his face
so many memories crowd his mind
should have, why not, what if…
Looking back on past is hopeless
changing that cannot be done
and as the hope continues flowing
he wants his love, his “one”
Not seeing past “I love you”
or realizing what should be done
his heart won’t mend, truly broken
what if… thinks the lonely one
