Aluminum rain—
blending the industrial sky
with a hard ash façade;
heaping bales of decay
plaguing the street today.

Bleating rain—
A discarded couch by the curbside
disregards its impeding sorrow.

Unforgiving rain—
The world aches a winter death,
green leaves fall—now paper red.

Soothing rain—
Drops pluck the harp strings of autumn leaves.
A Chestnut pod is keen
and serene on the ground,
like butterfly wings made of cream
offering its burgundy crown.
A solitary snail treads
across a harvest moon leaf.
Abandoned by the summer sun,
a vulnerable snail
finds translucent food,
where the woods compose
music in the rain.
