I am citing:
“I carry you with every breath
as inside the amber as
untouched and complete.”

I wonder if with my stony tongue
and the belly bleeding on behalf of love
tick-tack
at the time, love measured in values
like fractions of feelings, numbers and hours
filled with molecules decomposing in atoms
I was waiting faithfully

the ill words remained clement
on the inflamed tongue’s tip
frustrated and silent

at the time, we taught each other

you learnt how to make to your necktie the knot
to spend the spring times without feeling odd
(while I raised you, I was wrapping myself in sky shivers)

I learnt how to munch the obsession from air castles
as well, the putrid halves of the apples

maybe we had near us the chance
but tangled up in the trance
of questions with no answers
and answers to no questions
over fulfilled by forgiveness and patience
deaf to the tune and blind
to the shapeliness of mind
for redemption remained us the silence
