Mahler's 5th Symphony is playing;
It always did make me cry.

Don't forget your weeding hoe.
It might come in handy,
Even though on your plot
They'll plant flowers
Where you'd have sown carrots.

Did you bring that bottle of wine
You'd set aside for a special occasion?
Was it a Château Lafite
or one of those racy Cheval Blonk ?
(your accent was the cutest!)
True, it hasn't aged long enough,
But then, neither have you.

Please, bring along your violin
And keep your promise of a sonata…
Say it again with music:
I promise I'll listen for you this time.

Bruckner's Romantic is playing;
Now, it makes me cry

In Memoriam – Nick Taylor
