(From the spring among the winter)

On the Iza’s bank –
among the walnut trees
paternal house

Hazel aments
shake up the pollen –
sunrise

The retteries
and the running water’s mill –
over the paling

Sunset –
in the arms of grandmother
the purring cat

Walk in the morning –
in the grandmother’s garden
the red apples

At Săcel up hill
the hazel nut harvesting –
the children and grandma

Only a hazel nut
on the swinging branch –
moon rise

Like a fur cap
at the paternal house –
the first snow

At daybreak
grandfather nourishes a fieldfare–
a frozen apple

Săcel – my native village
