The moon is sleepy still,
his full face fading in the frosty night,
but I can see he’s crying…
his tears are falling into my heart
does he know how I feel?
I burnt your photo only yesterday
and my soul was hanging like wet linen,
heavy with sorrow and pain,
missing your empty smile,
your skin burning mine,
your words like hollow snowflakes
melting in the wind,
Tonight I will bury your smell
in the cemetery of my indifference,
where it will hang in a dark corner
like an old dress…
the unwanted memory of who I once was
and will never be again…
