Love left like a thief in the night,
shut the door of my heart,
closed the eyes of love,
where I saw roses now pansies grow,
the fire is out, no warmth, no light,
mine is a new reality,
something steered my ship to
a desert where once was a sea,
hot red changed to cold blue,
I look at you, the veil is torn,
what you do doesn’t matter anymore,
a new me out of the old is born,
I crossed the sea, I fought the war,
this strange face the broken mirrors show,
is a stronger soul life has come to know…

Sybille (Sydney) Krivenko 2007
