Every time the sunrise in disguise
Promising warmth turning out grim
Facing the child's dissapointed eyes
Hides in clouds for none to see but him
Every night's dream remains the same
Butterfly dance, poppy-field trance
Eyelash petals to claim the blame
For hubris stained chance of romance
Every day's dull disillusion
Only finding moths that never care
To open eyes drowned in confusion
Like him, chasing light that's never there.
