El bate însă-ncet și blând, dar tu deschizi, nu Salvatorul ! Odată însă-n viața mea, Isus vârând prin ușă mâna, mi-a zis: Eu, totuși, potintra, căci Eu sunt Domnul tu țărâna ! Dar n-a intrat. Și-am plâns cu-amar, ne-nțelegând: de ce nu vine ? Dar El n-avrut ca un tâlhar să tragă fierul pus de mine... Când I-am deschis, era târziu. El dispăruse-n umbra serii. Orașu-ntreg părea pustiu. Și m-au lovit pe drum străjerii. Abia în zori ne-am întâlnit în Ghetsimani, pe o cărare ... El, cel nemărginit, iar eu... țărâna cu zăvoare ... O, frate drag, Isus e blând, El stă la ușa ta și bate. El poate s-o sfărâme-oricând. Dar dragostea din El ... nu poate...
