Adâncurile bolborosesc tulburate, luntrea-și vâră botul, sprijinit pe lopeți. Trestiile molatice fluieră... De la o vreme, soarele, în răsărit, se teme... Deodată, stolul gâștelor sălbatice, unghi greu, fâlfâire pribeagă, înnegrind, peste toamnă, molatica brumă... Sfâșie aerul zbor, măcăitul sugrumă. Fulgerul puștii coboară fulgi suri-albaștri pe grind. Închisă, firea se face tăcută, apa mai tristă, cerul mai luminat; despletite-n avânt tremurat, două sălcii se sărută.
