Scriitor sunt, vedeti bine, Si pot spune cui ma-ntreaba Ca si eu ma aflu-n treaba. Cronici, critica, nuvele Sunt la mine bagatele: Da-mi subiectul, spune-mi plata, Si articolul e gata. Parca cine stie ce e... Fur de colea o idee, Mai un calapod de colo, Si-s si eu de-ai lui Apolo. S-apoi sunt atâtea-n lume, Ca, sa stai, sa scrii volume! Stil? Gramatica?... Gogosi, Pentru cei neputinciosi. Astea-s spuma, gându-i marea... Nu-mi strunesc eu cugetarea Plina, clara, eleganta Pentr-o virgula pedanta! Am subiectul? Restu-i gata: Ti-astern proza cu lopata. Iar când n-am si n-am ce scrie, Atunci... torn o poezie.
