Eram pribeag pe-o lume obscura si pustie.
Plângeam când tu, cereasca si vecinica faclie,
Lucind în aaî mea cale, opritu-m-ai din mers
Si ochii-mi, ca o mama, de lacrime i-ai sters.
Eram strain, si tie ti-a fost mila de mine.
“De unde vii si unde te duci?î m-ai întrebat.
Nu stiu. Steaua desprinsa din boltele senine
Mai stie ea sarmana ce drum a apucat?
Atunci mi-ai zis: “Iubeste, strain nu vei mai fiî.
Ferice sunt de-atuncea. În veci te voi iubi.
