The light bulb is trembling,
The shadows seem sick and uncertain,
I'm in the crowd...trembling,
I cry out my pain, my visions.

I'm longing towards a light,
A firm light is what I need...
I found one! Please stay...
But as I get closer, it starts to tremble.

And runs away, away from my arms,
I had it in mind...for a while,
Lost in the crowd, I'm sinking within,
The noises' shadows, the shadows' noise...

I hear it in my head, I feel it in my heart,
Waves of hanging light bulbs,
Coming nearer when I run away...
The tempest of shadows and noise.
