Feeling more assured now i venture
Gasping for that last breath of confidence.
The relevance of my achievements
vanish into contorted insignificance.
The marble floor lay before me
drawing Mosaic forms as i walk.

I reach the door clinging to my
well prepared answers.
My mind has scrambled into
a wash of nervous fog.
A man standing there cold faced
no smile not a whimper of welcome.

The same man escorts me
to my court.
Four of them scanning me
for imperfections.
My head at first down then remembering
my situation.
I hold my face straight looking direct waiting
For their verbal extraction to commence.
Chris.
