- You're taking the fun out of fundamentalism!
Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy

Two deadly enemies are facing each other in the ring; in the left corner: George W.Bush, his twelve gallon cowboy hat firmly placed on top of his head - always on the prowl for weapons of mass destruction unless they're his own. Otherwise he is surely pious; now he has blessed the teaching of "the creationist theory" in american schools as an alternative to the theory of the origins of the species. He is "pro life" and simultaneously a warm defender of death penalty - also when the accused is clearly mentally handicapped.

In the opposite corner; properly clad for any occasional desert crossing: Osama Bin Laden, originally supported by CIA and - should we guess - Georges own father.
This bearded gentleman is willing to wind the clock of history even further back: He wants sharia laws established all over the world; so that thieves hands can be cut off and independent women can be summarily executed. Talking about beards; I'm sure he has thought of a way to punish those males who have no such growth on their chin...

But, but....what is this, somebody in the audience start laughing loud and heartily and it spreads among the seats.
My god, the opponents in the ring do look a bit insecure, even embarassed. Now we'll take a short commercial break. We'll be back in a while with comments on this latest bizarre development...
