This piece of poetry is astounding!

The way you chose to describe the-giving-into-obsession is fascinating.
You stayed close to the core, so therefore the poem clings with its claws to the true nature of the innermost thoughts when it comes to love, the beautiful dwell between hope and desperation, the repetitions so carefully placed underlying the angst and the torment and the pain...

‘and you
still haven't rung, and the white sheets,
and it's killing me, this waiting, waiting,
this white wanting, and’

This Saturday morning, if you like it or not, you have a follower (poetry stalker?!):))

Congratulations!

' the word, Unknow, will be a white torture
to my aching inside, for a time,
or maybe even forever-for a colourless eternity.'

it gave me chills... but I loved it...
great poem!

p.s. i'll look for that 'flightless bird'! :)

the song, I mean!

very good, but soooo sad! it almost made me blue... thanks God for the sunshine outside my window...

well, I just wanted to say that, although the song made me a little sad, for the moment, I still enjoyed listening it, and it is a perfect match with this great poem of yours... and I say this 'cause I read it again, and this time it seems better than the last... like the wine, you know... :)

 =  Thankyou Anca and Corina...

Dear Anca Roshu...It is very sad, isn't it. I didn't know it was on "Twilight"...I just loved it because it was on a CD that someone made for me (oops!) and there's just something so wistful and sad...such a sense of loss...a bird that can't fly!!!! It really touched me, and then...it's true...it was always on when I was obsessing about the person..."Unknown"....It became "our" song that he didn't even know about!! Ha! How sad is that? So thanks for apprciating my poem. It is so great to get the feedback...You never get that, really, with a book...

I really enjoyed your poem, with/ without the song, it is almost philosophy, the philosophy of love, known- unknown, appealing to us, the readers, as we all have, at one moment or another in life, been there, got the T- shirt...Anyway, the credit goes to you.

Exquisite, your lines, Philomena!
They manage to perfectly translate intense feelings into poetry.
But what I like most is the uncomplicated way you did that, using everyday language, insinuating a unmistakable pseudo-dialogue. Beautiful and distinct!
Flightless bird is one of my favorite songs...
My greetings.
Ada

Thanks, Ada...This poem has taught me a lot, because it has had such a lot of feedback, and it is so raw, really...I mean, I wrote it while it was happening, and I think that has come through, and that's what people can sense. It's so true, and I haven't tried to hide behind fancy language....I think you can make the words so clever, sometimes, that you lose the feelings... Thanks for your feedback....
