Dear Ronald,

It's been a long time since my fingers were itching for writing a comment to something I discover to be your, nevertheless of another dimension of, thought. I must confess to have been haunted by the echoing of your poem's last line; like a mirror of a twisting self, unwilling to give up the naked truth, which is not some shallow, ever available "what", which can be distorted at will, but the precisely merciless "how much"...
The lines leading to the crucial question are so confronting, so unwilling to approve for anything less than THE Truth...
I wish I could be please with the answers I could provide...

Thank you for your presence here, and for this truly recommendable poem.

With respect,

rcm

Dear Romulus,

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your attention to my poetry. It is not often that one receives such positive praise. It is wonderful to be read and critiqued with such generous words.

I agree with you, "what" can be too easily "distorted at will". There is a saying about looking for THE truth, "...it is like peeling an onion..." - I believe the onion may take an eternity to reveal its secret.

Gratefully yours,

res
