Biography EZRA POUND

- 1885-1972
- - American poet and critic
- Notable poetry volumes include “Quia Pauper Amaris” (1919) and the unfinished “Cantos” (1925-70).
- A generous supporter of younger writers, e.g. T.S. Eliot, Hemingway, he lived in Italy from 1925 and broadcast propaganda against the Allies during World War II.
- He was committed to a US mental asylum after the war until 1958, when he returned to Italy
