I’m all alone in a quiet night
of May... and count the hours But I realize it’s strange I’ve never stopped to smell the flowers I never dared to open my eyes And see pure perfection In the simplest of roses. I feared I’d see deception... Why do I lose myself so much Between cliffs and the raging sea If the power of a thousand waves Cannot change me destiny? I looked back to see the days And I re-lived them on demand But I’ve fallen in complete disgrace Cos after all I’d still pretend I wanted to overcome the madness And look at it from far above But it made me grieve with sadness Of never having felt the love And now I stare fully enchanted As I hold a blooming flower I want to crush it but I restrain Cos madness is my loving power I’ve never stopped to smell the roses I’ve never had anything to say But I feel that something’s changing In the quiet night of May...
