Curge Dunărea în somn
Geme ca un om
Cere gîrla om.
La cotlonul lui Ion
Se-ntoarce cu peștii în sus
Și cu rădăcini de pom
Cere gîrla om.
Az-noapte pe rînd
Au căzut prispele în pămînt
Mi-a venit apa la brîu
Cu streșine și cu grîu.
