Grâul e-n floare
Macii
Se chinuiau să îl țină-n picioare
Gemeau
Trăgeau de umeri
Mustățile din spic
Înc’un pic
Înc’un pic.

Și n’au crezut strămoșii
Cum nu credeți nici voi
Dar truda lor se vede și astăzi printre noi
Macii sunt roșii!
