in this rainy weather today
i thought rain would wash my cravings for you away… sudden tears in my eyes just to protect you from any harm i close my eye lids to protect you my lashes are defence like shutters if any particles dare to touch you the tears are salty i don’t want them to spread across the surface of my eyes as i am standing on London Bridge if i blink they would drain you away through the channels of my nose and into the river Thames they say tears keep eyes comfortable they help to flush out foreign objects i don’t even want to blink i don’t want my tears to wash you away you are mine. Gunsel Djemal London Bridge 19/7/2009
