And I have come to thee. And I am just a shadow
For now I have no body, no human shape at all
Bestow my once-true-virtue and silently I’ll follow
Like dog follows its master - your footsteps to the wall.
And be it day or winter, and be it night or heat
My faithful heart remains forever in your cage
And it’s for you these songs, the torments of my beat
The restless - shameless running of long forgotten age.
And I bequeath my pieces and all I ever had
To your not-caring hands, my ever-blinded muse
A symphony of corpses, a symphony so sad
For you have turned me mad with all your mind abuse.
I want my innocence that died away the day
I opened you the door, pure evil in disguise
Bestow the Me I long for, the one that fades away
Each day a little more. My love is so unwise.
And you could have it all, you have it all not knowing
That’s it’s for you I’m killing the goodness in mine heart
Open thine eyes and see the things I am not showing
And love me, sweet depression, we’ll never be apart !
