This is a message of support for all those currently kidnapped, being held hostage and having their lives endangered. I make this plea that anyone decently human and strong enough to act for saving INNOCENT, CIVILIAN LIVES do this as soon as possible. KIDNAPPING CIVILIANS IS NEITHER A FAIR NOR A DIGNIFYING GESTURE, and, for everyone’s sake, it has to stop. I do not support any sort of aggression or war against anyone, I firmly believe that MURDER IS MURDER, nothing more, nothing less than a sinful gesture, a mere crime against life. Murder is not the path toward freedom, peace and understanding, murder is not an excuse for murder or any other obscure interests and, last but not least, no religion compliments nor sustains killing, no God forgives a crime against life, against creation. On civilian side particularly, kidnapping journalists who help war zone civilians’ stories be brought to the whole world, workers who help rebuild destroyed countries or humanitarian aid workers who risk their lives dressing up the wounds of war is THE SINGLE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE ACT ANYONE CAN COMMIT.
I stand firm that the abductors consider the real dimension of their acts, and I plead that the abducted, namingly people risking their lives to make things better for those affected by war, be returned home to their families:

- Roy Hallums, American worker, kidnapped in Iraq, November 1, 2004

- Robert Tarongoy, Phillipines engineer working in Iraq, abducted November 1, 2004

- Florence Aubernas, French journalist at Liberation, kidnapped in Iraq together with her assistant Hussein Hanun al-Saadi, January 5, 2005

- Jeffrey Ake, American contractor, kidnapped in Iraq, April 11, 2005

- Douglas Wood, American contractor of Australian origin, captured May 1, 2005, by the Shura Council of the Mujahedeen of Iraq.

- Akihito Saito, Japanese contractor, kidnapped by Ansar al-Sunnah, May 9, 2005

- Clementina Cantoni, Italian humanitarian aid worker abducted in Afghanistan, May 16, 2005

I also hope this message be spread around that anyone able to lend a life-saving hand in the situation of those previously mentioned and others in similar kidnap cases might get a chance to read it from a human perspective and take action to free them. If you can render your support please do so. Thank you for your understanding."
