He sat at he window, a sad angel, watching the rain. His name was Aerin. That meant "Unique". He closed his eyes and sighed, as he thought of Nox.
"How am I supposed to find her? How will I find her...if I can't even remember the sound of her voice...the rustle of her soft whisper...how?!"
He thought of the days in their other lives. When they had each other. And they were happy. And then...the diesease hit the village they lived in, right by the silver waterfalls. Her family died first, then his. Her body was too weak to support the disease. She died. He mourned over her dead body, not letting anybody touch her. He died soon after. Their bodies were burried together...the people couldn't move his hands from hers. They called it "act of evil".
He thought of her smile, of her deep green eyes, and the way they looked when she was happy...or sad...or serious...he loved her when she was mad...when she could have killed him for all the stupid things he was always doing...he lived just to tease her...
He reminded himself what he was in this new town for. To find her. They had been given a second chance. The Angel that had talked to them said that time has passed since they died. Their "evil acts" were now forgiven. They were forgiven of their eternal punishment. But they had to pass a test. To prove that they were worthy of each other again, and of living again. They accepted. Their bodies were meant for each other's. They craved for each other's taste. So they took the offer.
"What could've seemed more easier than that?!" Aerin asked the black cat that was sitting next to him. "But instead, we got a far more worse punishment. She can't remember my face. I can't remember her voice. What are we supposed to do now?! Will we find each other? Or not?"
The things he reminded him of her were a drawing she had done for him. It was a portrait of himself. It was given to him, as a memory. But he didn't know what to do with it.
He got up and walked out the door. The rain sounded tempting. He got all wet. But it felt wonderful. He and Nox had enjoyed the rain, every time they had storms...
When he got back, he stayed outside for a few minutes, looking at the surroundings of the house he had bought.
It was the Seventh City from the Sea. This had to be the place they will meet again. He looked at the house across the street, and saw a weird girl going in. She had long, black hair, like his own, and she wore a long shirt, over black leather pants. She carried a puppy in her arms...this person reminded him of someone. But he threw away the thought, pretty much because most of the persons he saw everyday were reincarnations of the people he once knew.
She could've been anybody, from his point of view...

End of Part One- Aerin
